MILTONIDIUM 'Hawaiian Sunset'
Miltonidiums are intergeneric hybrids of Miltonia and Oncidium. Hawaiian Sunset stands out for their beauty and are well known across the globe. Hawaiian Sunset is a hybrid of Miltonidium Pupukea Sunset and Miltonia warscewiczii.
1 to 1.5 inch flowers thickly packed on the spikes. The spikes branch and gives a thick floral experience. The flowers are with yellow cap, reddish mahogany belly and an eggshell white lip. They produce multiple spikes. They also have a pleasant fragrance.

Light
Miltonidium prefers low to medium light. Avoid continuous bright light.
Temperature
Warm to Intermediate temperatures are good for Miltonidiums. High summer temperatures of 34 Deg C and Low winter temperatures of 10 Deg Cel are tolerable for Miltonidiums.
Humidity
50-60% humidity is ideal
Watering
Rain water or ground water is the best for watering. The roots are sensitive to minerals. However this is not a must. Do not allow the medium to be completely dry. |

Fertilize
NPK 20-10-20 is appropriate for these plants. Calcium and magnesium suppliments are available from ground water (well water)
Flowering
Blooms at least twice a year. Produce amazing multiple branched spikes.
Repotting
Yearly repotting is recommended. Bark, coconut husk or charcoal can be used in the mix. |
